Introduction
This is the official start of my weblog
Therefore I will introduce myself shortly.
My name is Sjaak Laan and I am 41 years old. I am married with 3 children of 8, 3 and 1 years old.
We live in The Netherlands, in a place called Drachten.
I work for Logica as Infrastructure Architect. My specialties are IT Infrastructure architecture, Security, High Availability, Performance and Open Source. I have 19 years IT experience and working for Logica since 2000. Within Logica I am a member of the Infrastructure, Security and Architecture steering team.
Outside of my work, I spend most of my time with my family and with keeping up with technology knowledge on Architecture, Open Source and IT technology in general.
I am the project owner of the Open Source project Murdoc (http://murdoc.sf.net/).
